    手漕ぎの舟の男たちが運ぶのは重さ約1トンの太鼓台。やがて舟が着岸すると、待ち受けていた男たちが威勢よく太鼓台を陸へ下ろす。指揮をとる男。下ろされた太鼓台は桟敷まで一気に担ぎ「押し込」まれる。沸く観衆たち。 小豆島の祭り「押し込み」の光景で、2019年には招かれてフリオ ゴヤも実際に太鼓台を担ぎました。 島を離れた人もこの日には戻ってくる という伝統行事がコロナ禍で 2年連続中止されたことを受け、「押し込み」を守ってきた地元の人々への敬意を込めて、 舟の出発地である神浦 に レリーフを制作しました。   素材: 鉄, メッキ   The men in the rowing boat carry a drum of about 1 ton. When the boat reaches the shore, the waiting men pull down the drum to the land. A commanding man. The drum is then carried up and "pushed" into the place where crowd waits. Excited spectators. The relief shows scenes of Shodoshima island's traditional festival OSHIKOMI or "Pushing", which Julio Goya was invited to “push” the drum with locals in 2019. Even people who left the island return for this day but the event was canceled for two consecutive years due to Covid 19 .  In honor of the locals who have kept OSHIKOMI, Julio Goya created the relief in Konoura, the departing point of the boat.   Material: Galvanized steel

12/11(土)から19(日)まで ギャラリーアトス (那覇）でフリオ ゴヤ作品展を開催します。今回のテーマは「シマからシマへ」。沖縄島と小豆島、両島からの素材を組み合わせて作品を構成しました。 An exhibition of Julio Goya, "From an island to an island", will be held at Gallery ATOS (Naha, Okinawa) from 11th to 19th December. Works Goya created by combining material from his two bases, Okinawa island and Shodoshima island, will be exhibited.
